Policies

Know what to expect before registering.

These policies apply unless an individual event page states otherwise.

Registration and payment

A tournament spot is secured only after full payment is confirmed. Early-bird pricing applies only while eligible paid spots remain. Completing a form without payment does not hold a paid tournament spot.

Refunds and credits

Registration payments are nonrefundable. Draft Day Tournaments may approve a credit toward another event on a case-by-case basis. Any approved credit must be used within one year.

Withdrawals and roster changes

A withdrawal is not final until confirmed by Draft Day Tournaments. Roster and registration changes must be handled by the organizer. Registrations may not be transferred without approval.

Jerseys

A jersey is secured after payment is received. Players must be present at the tournament to receive their jersey. Jerseys are not mailed, delivered, or held for absent players. Submitted jersey details may become final once production begins.

Rules, schedules, and weather

USA Softball rules apply unless Draft Day event rules state otherwise. Game times, fields, formats, and schedules may change because of registration totals, field conditions, weather, safety concerns, or other operational needs.

Travel-league interest

Travel-league interest registration does not guarantee that a league, schedule, location, or team spot will be created. Each proposed league requires at least eight interested teams. No payment is collected through the interest form.

Photography and participation

Event registration may include photography consent and a liability waiver shown during registration. Participants must accept the event-specific terms before payment.

Assumption of risk and conduct

Softball and related event activities involve risks including collisions, falls, thrown or batted balls, equipment failure, weather, field conditions, physical exertion, and the acts of other participants or spectators. By registering and participating, a player confirms that they understand these ordinary risks, are physically able to participate, will follow event and safety instructions, and will stop participating if conditions are unsafe. Participants are responsible for maintaining appropriate medical and accident coverage.

Release and emergency care

To the fullest extent permitted by law, a participant agrees not to hold Draft Day Tournaments LLC, event organizers, host communities, field owners, sponsors, volunteers, officials, or their representatives responsible for injuries, loss, or damage arising from the ordinary risks of participation, except where liability cannot legally be waived. A participant authorizes reasonable emergency assistance when they cannot provide instructions. This language is a general website summary; the event-specific waiver and electronic signature presented during registration control.

Photo and media permission

Unless a participant makes a written arrangement with the organizer before the event, participation grants Draft Day Tournaments permission to photograph or record the participant in public event settings and to use that event media for tournament coverage, historical archives, and promotional materials without additional compensation. Draft Day Tournaments will consider reasonable removal requests but cannot guarantee removal from materials already printed, shared, or distributed by others.

Players age 17

An eligible 17-year-old player must have a parent or legal guardian provide the requested consent and electronic signature before participating. Draft Day Tournaments may require additional verification.
